About

Mr. Fiterman is an Accredited Member of the International Society of Appraisers (ISA), with an expert designation in Fine Art. Mr. Fiterman has successfully completed a 7 - hour course on the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP), the Congressionally - recognized set of appraisal standards promulgated by The Appraisal Foundation: compliant through December 31, 2025.

Mr. Fiterman has been awarded a Master of Arts degree conferred upon him by Christie’s Education, New York, in Modern Art, Connoisseurship and History of the Art Market. Christie’s Education, New York has been designated as an independent degree-granting institution by The New York State Board of Regents, and is registered with the New York State Education Department.

Mr. Fiterman is the Founder and President of Apprize Art, LLC, a Minnesota Limited Liability Corporation that provides art valuation, consultation, and brokerage services to a wide range of clients including, but not limited to: individual collectors, Institutional collections, academic institutions, fine art related service providers, insurance companies, law firms, art handling and transportation companies, and art storage providers. Mr. Fiterman frequently opines on issues ranging from identification, authentication, valuation, education, conservation, preservation, transportation, insurance, security, storage, curatorial matters, art handling, and display. Mr. Fiterman regularly performs IRS / Fair Market Value appraisals for charitable donations to museums and institutions of higher learning.

Mr. Fiterman is a member of the Board of Directors of the Midwest Art Conservation Center, a Trustee of the Minneapolis College of Art & Design, and has served on a Public Art Committee of the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York.

Mr. Fiterman has served as an expert witness in Minnesota State Court, New York State Court, and in United States Federal Court, District of California, in the matter of: Arthur v. Louis Vuitton North America Inc., et al. CV 08-4731 AHM (FFMx).
